A highly complex blend of three Central American RONs.
We sought to elaborate a blend of old rums of Hispanic origin, coming from three Central American countries already known to produce high quality rums;
PANAMA, GUATEMALA and NICARAGUA.
Origins
Panama molasses rum: column distillation, 2-3 years old, aged in American ex-Bourbon oak barrel.
Guatemalan molasses rum: column distillation, 2-3 years old, aged in American ex-Bourbon oak barrel.
Nicaraguan Molasses Rum: column distillation, 3-5 years old, aged in American ex-Bourbon oak barrel.
Tasting Note
APPEARANCE - Golden and limpid color, no leg as it is entirely glass-bound.
IN THE NOSE - A wonderfully complex, satisfying balance of sugar, fruit and spice, tempered by the blend of these various sources. Date and prune, sweet spices of cloves, and cinnamon accompanied by lighter notes of mango and dried raspberries. We can find this woody and tobacco hint that gives it liquorice and leather notes.
IN THE MOUTH - Soft and smooth with a note of chocolate-flavored dark cherry and an intense taste of dried fruits. Explosion of all kinds of aromas like wood, tobacco, vanilla and caramel (sweet, but not mushy in the mouth) with a subtle touch of ginger and iodine on the tongue.
